About The Project

21Things4Teachers helps educators make connections between technology tools and best practice instructional strategies. It provides a chance for you to collaborate with fellow teachers in a cohort or as an individual to learn more about 21st century technology skills in a supportive environment with a highly skilled instructor.

There is still a great need for teachers to learn basic technology. I use the 21things with my staff during staff meetings, to point them to specific snippits of technology to get them up and running. Love the free tools and how it makes it so easy for the teachers to implement.

- Principal from East Detroit, 2018

It began with four friends and instructional technology specialists who were looking for a way to train teachers on technology in a timely and cost-effective manner. To provide a single site of free resources and tutorials to meet the international educational technology standards and offer any-time training to be used for professional development, remains the goal. The 21Things for the 21st Century Educator, also known as 21Things4Teachers, has now evolved into an internationally acclaimed resource offering multiple models for customized professional development.

The site was originally created in 2008 by (l-r) Melissa White Ingham ISD, the late Frank Miracola Macomb ISD, Carolyn McCarthy Shiawassee RESD, and Dr. Jennifer Parker-Moore Macomb ISD.
